Entry requirements for South Africa
For the latest information on South African entry requirements, please select this link: Department of Home Affairs for the Republic of South Africa
Visa requirements differ from country to country: (click here to see which countries are currently exempt) and are subject to change. Please enquire with your nearest South African mission or consulate abroad or any office of the Department of Home Affairs to see whether or not you are required to apply for a visa.
South Africa does not process visas upon arrival. Only select countries are able to enter without visas, and you must check with your local embassy or consulate to determine your individual entry requirements.
PathReD is not responsible for assisting with visa processes. A Letter of Support for Visa application can be requested during the registration for PathReD Congress 2023. Please note PathReD cannot contact an embassy or consulate on your behalf.
It is critically important for visa applications to be processed well in advance of your anticipated departure date. South African embassies frequently require appointments and/or in-depth biometrics, which can add weeks to the visa application process.
PathReD Congress 2023 Letter of Support for Visa application: Your letter of support is sent upon request during the online registration process for PathReD Congress 2023.
If you do not receive your Letter of Support, please email pathred@nhls.ac.za and include your registration confirmation number.
