It is a great privilege to be a member of the team bringing the PathRed Congress to you in 2023. The organising and scientific committees are working closely to honour your requests for high-calibre scientific content. PathReD is organised by the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) with the goals of; preserving academic excellence, adhering to international standards, and safeguarding scientific integrity.

We aspire to uphold the highest standards of excellence in pathology and public health research. We hope to directly inspire the stimulation of ground-breaking innovations and technological advancements, that will support efficient service delivery and improved healthcare interventions. PathReD supports the evolution of pathology to embrace advancements in technology. In this regard, the 2023 theme is: Next Generation Pathology. This PathReD aims to investigate the application of next generation sequencing (NGS) concepts, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and advanced data analytic methodologies, to provide answers for healthcare difficulties.

This year, we are enhancing our programme with initiatives that support multidisciplinary research projects and launch the creation of successful public-private collaboration ventures.

PathReD Congress 2023 is openly extending its invitation to the private sector, public health professional communities, department of health and all other stakeholders with interest in clinical pathology, forensic pathology, public health, and occupational health. We are looking forward to hosting our industry partners, whose support has made this event possible.
